1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Alula Protocol interface (the "Interface"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Interface.
2. Description of Service
The Interface provides access to a decentralized lending protocol on the Stellar blockchain. The protocol allows users to:
- Supply assets to liquidity pools and earn interest
- Borrow assets against supplied collateral
- Participate in liquidations
- View market data and analytics
The Interface is merely a frontend to interact with smart contracts deployed on the Stellar blockchain. We do not control the underlying protocol or blockchain.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You represent and warrant that:
- You are not located in, or a resident of, any restricted jurisdiction
- You are not subject to any sanctions or prohibited persons lists
- Your use of the Interface complies with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Interface for any of the following prohibited activities:
- Any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illegal financial activities
- Hacking, phishing, or any malicious activities
- Circumventing or manipulating our security measures
- Interfering with other users' access to the Interface
- Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
5. Risks and Disclaimers
Use of DeFi protocols involves significant risks, including but not limited to:
- Smart Contract Risk: Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities
- Liquidation Risk: Your collateral may be liquidated if its value falls
- Market Risk: Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile
- Liquidity Risk: You may not be able to withdraw assets immediately
- Regulatory Risk: Laws and regulations may change
- Technical Risk: Blockchain networks may experience downtime or congestion
You acknowledge that you understand these risks and that you may lose some or all of your assets.
6. No Warranty
THE INTERFACE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the Interface will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the Interface at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD OR THE EQUIVALENT IN CRYPTOCURRENCY.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the protocol developers, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Interface or violation of these Terms.
9. Privacy
The Interface does not collect personal information. However, your wallet address and transaction data are publicly visible on the Stellar blockchain. We may collect anonymous usage data to improve the Interface.
10. Intellectual Property
The Interface design, code (where applicable), and content are protected by intellectual property rights. The underlying protocol smart contracts are generally open source under applicable licenses.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Interface. Continued use of the Interface constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
12. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. We may terminate or suspend access to the Interface at any time without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Interface ceases immediately.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of [Jurisdiction].
